Systems, now a division of Camin Cargo Control, develops
a variety of enterprise computing systems that adapt to the specialized requirements
of chemical analysis, storage, transport and inspection companies.
Camin Cargo Control, Inc. is an independent inspection
and analytical testing firm performing services in the petroleum, marine cargo
and environmental industries. They provide services that were developed
from the various facets of the marine survey and laboratory testing industry,
including determination and certification of the quantity and quality of bulk
liquid petroleum, petrochemical and chemical transfers as well as dry cargo
and loss control surveys. They purchased Prism Software of Fort Collins, CO
(aka Baycom Systems of Tampa, FL) and now own the vertical LIMS solution called
Visual LabPro.
Developed with Microsoft's Visual suite of software development tools, Visual
LabPro is a Windows-based LIMS solution and allows laboratories to automate
all laboratory management operations. Visual LabPro is a vertical, scalable
LIMS for testing laboratories. A LIMS-in-a-Box solution, Visual LabPro features
a fully-automated Quality Control system that may be configured by end users
to compute QC results from custom formulas. Other features include reports,
a comprehensive audit trail, object-based security, and compliance with ISO
9000 and GALP standards. Visual LabPro comes with all program source code;
two days of on-site training and installation; up to 20 hours of custom report
design; up to 10 hours of custom data acquisition design; a 5-user network
liscense; and, 3 months of online email and voice consulting support.
They also offer a web
version of their LIMS product called Visual LabPro.Net that delivers the power
and performance to manage the laboratory anywhere in the world, with greater
ease and much fewer complications; i.e., ODBC, Remote views, expensive client
upgrade fees.
Visual LabPro.Net interfaces with the MSRS (Microsoft Reporting Services)
reporting engine to render high quality, easy-to-design reports that can include
QC charts, web links and a variety of other resources that allow users to
quickly share and distribute data to their customers on the web in most any
format.
Visual LabPro.Net includes Visual LabPro.Net Explorer, a revolutionary tool
developed exclusively for analytical laboratory customers to track and manage
their testing projects on the Internet. The Visual LabPro.Net Explorer information
system is compatible with most popular browser technologies and can be operated
from most internet-ready devices.
